Maksym Burbak has become a leader of People's Front faction in Ukrainian parliament, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman has said.
“In accordance with the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine’s procedure, People’s Front elected MP Maksym Yuriyovych Burbak as its chairman,” Groysman said at the parliamentary meeting on July 14 morning.
As reported, Oleksandr Turchynov was faction’s leader but the President’s decree dated December 16, 2014 appointed him to the position of National Security and Defense Council Secretary. Since then, the position remained open, and the faction was managed by its First Deputy Head and Deputy Head. On July 3, 2015, the People’s Front decided to elect new faction leader – Maksym Burbak.
