You're reading: Groysman says new government’s first sitting to take place on April 20

The first meeting of new government will take place on April 20, Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman said.

“We are preparing for a sitting of the government that will take place on Wednesday,” Groysman said during his video address.

The PM added that he understands how difficult life conditions each Ukrainian faces and “that people would like to see quick and high-quality decisions.”

He said he is aware of the challenges the government will face.

Groysman said within past two days he hosted several meetings on finances, economics, roads and medical supplies, reformation of state service. “There are many tasks, but I understand we should act effectively and quickly,” he said.

“I understand, that we don’t have much time to make changes, but I will do my best to accelerate them and to decide issues for the benefit of Ukrainian society,” Groysman said.
