Militants have killed four people in Sloviansk, Donetsk region, the 1+1 channel's Television News Service reported on April 14 morning. According to the report, two SBU officers were shot dead at a checkpoint at the entrance to the town. A car with civilians was shot in the street, and two people were killed.
Ukraine’s acting president, Oleksandr Turchynov, said earlier that a
captain of the SBU’s Alfa special police force, Hennadiy Bilichenko, was
killed during a shootout at a checkpoint at the entrance to the town,
whereas an Alfa commander and an SBU colonel were seriously injured. An
Interior Ministry officer also sustained gunshot wounds.
According to the authorities, an SBU officer was killed and nine people were injured in Sloviansk.
The press office of Donetsk Regional State Administration reported
late on Sunday that of the nine victims of gunshot wounds six were
undergoing treatment in hospitals in Artemivsk, Sloviansk and Donetsk,
and three more victims got the necessary medical care at the scene.
