At the conclusion of the Saturday Shabbot service on Aug. 1, the members of the congregation of the Jewish Center of the Hamptons (JCOH) sat transfixed in rapt attention to the words that echoed through the sunlight drenched synagogue. They were words of murder and betrayal, that were as painful to speak as they were to hear. Perhaps more poignant, they were not words spoken by a rabbi, but by a French Roman Catholic priest.
