The program of Kyiv's preparations for hosting the European Football Championship 2012 is being poorly implemented, Mykola Syvulsky, the head of the Main Control and Revision Office, said at a press conference in Kyiv on Tuesday.

“Everything concerning [the territory of the Olympiysky Sport Complex] is a catastrophe… Soon we will have serious problems,” he said.

According to him, the construction of transport and infrastructure facilities is being implemented extremely slowly.

Syvulsky said that the only exception is construction of the arena of the Olympiysky Sport Complex, which is being overseen by the Cabinet of Ministers.

Syvulsky added that the official reports for UEFA concerning preparation for the Euro 2012 in Kyiv include information about hotels, the construction of which hasn’t even started.
