You're reading: Health ministry buys medical equipment worth Hr 100 million

The Ukrainian Health Ministry has purchased medical equipment worth Hr 100 million in order to fight the flu epidemic, Deputy Health Minister Valeriy Bidny has said.

He said at a briefing on Nov. 11 that the equipment would be supplied next week.

He also said that it had been decided at a meeting of the operations headquarters that Hr 100 million out of the Hr 500 million allocated by the government to fight the flu epidemic would be used to purchase medical equipment.

"The Health Ministry has already conducted tenders on the purchase of the following equipment – 735 artificial lung ventilation units, 80 fiber-optic bronchoscopes, 566 pulse oximeters, 165 suction units, and seven artificial kidney units," Bidny said.
