Lviv, September 29 (Interfax-Ukraine) - Four Ukrainian prime ministers, three of whom are former premiers, and incumbent Premier Yulia Tymoshenko, will discuss incentives for investment in Ukraine at Lviv economic forum on October 2, Lviv Governor Mykola Kmyt said at a press conference on Tuesday.
“We’ve invited four premiers including Yulia
Tymoshenko, the Ukrainian president and leading experts to discuss why
investment doesn’t come to Ukraine, why we rank somewhere about 140th
in the investment attractiveness rating. This is the issue of national
policy rather than the development of Lviv region alone,” he said.
Asked about the participants in the panel
discussion, Kmyt said participation had been confirmed by ex-premiers
Yuriy Yekhanurov (premiership from September 22, 2005 to August 4,
2006), Valeriy Pustovoitenko (July 1997 through December 1999), and
Anatoliy Kinakh (January 2001 through November 2002).
Incumbent Premier Yulia Tymoshenko (in office since
December 18, 2007. Prior to that, she also was premier February 4
through September 8, 2005) has also preliminarily confirmed attendance.
