Regional energy companies have doubled their outstanding debt to Naftohaz over the past year and currently owe 3.447 billion UAH, Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko said during today’s selective meeting with heads of oblast state administrations on preparations for the 2009-2010 heating season. Tymoshenko called the situation “tragic.”
