You're reading: Japan gives $74,000 grant to Chornobyl museum

The Japanese government has provided a grant worth over $74,000 to Ukraine's Chornobyl National Museum.

The ceremony of signing a protocol on the provision of financial
assistance was held in the museum’s building in Kyiv on Thursday, an
Interfax-Ukraine reporter said.

Japanese Ambassador to Ukraine Tadashi Izawa and Director of the
Chornobyl National Museum Ivan Hladush signed the agreement on the
provision of financial aid from Japan.

Izawa said that the Japanese government would continue to render
financial assistance to Ukraine as part of projects linked to the
Chornobyl tragedy.
