LVIV – Ukraine hopes that a meeting of the Ad-hoc Committee of Noteholders to Ukraine with the participation of the IMF in Washington on June 30 will be a success and will lead onto the next round of talks on Ukrainian debt restructuring, according to Finance Minister Natalie Jaresko.
“On June 30 there will be a meeting with the participation of Ukraine, the IMF, their advisers and private creditors and advisers to discuss all the macroeconomic forecast details incorporated in the new proposal, sent by Ukraine to the creditors and which hasn’t got a definite feedback. We hope that after this meeting at the IMF, we will understand each other completely and will be able to go to the next phase – normal negotiations on the restructuring,” Jaresko told journalists during her working tour of Lviv region on June 26.
According to her, the Ukrainian government is still committed to achieving success in the talks on restructuring.
