Pechersky District Court Judge Rodion Kireyev, who is presiding at trial of former Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko, has refused to read out, at the request of her lawyers, materials of the case that were not read out earlier.

An Interfax-Ukraine reporter said that at a court session on Thursday that Tymoshenko’s defense team had submitted a petition for Kireyev to read out the documents.

"Some documents were read out, and some not, and this is a violation of the judicial process. The documents that clearly indicate that in fact, there is no case and there is no crime, have not been read out," Tymoshenko said, while speaking in support of the petition.

She insisted that the judge read out at least pages 81-95 of the seventh volume, which contains documents on the receipt of technical gas.

"This is convincing evidence that neither Naftogaz nor Ukrtransgaz sustained any losses," Tymoshenko said.

Tymoshenko defense lawyer Oleksandr Plakhotniuk, who was absent from the morning court hearings, then arrived at the courtroom.
