The Kyiv Office of Public Prosecutor has submitted a request to the Kyiv Mayor to eliminate violations of current legislation that occurred when taking a decision to raise tariffs for housing and communal services.
The Kyiv Office of Public Prosecutor submitted the request having
checked a request of the Klychko Bloc’s leader, the press service of
the Klychko Bloc reported.
According to a letter of the Kyiv Office of Public Prosecutor, gross
violations of the legislation were made by the Kyiv City State
Administration while elaborating and adopting the order for a raise in
tariffs for housing and communal services as of April 29, May 27 and
June 30, August 14.
Thus, tariffs for central heating and hot water supply in Kyiv for
executives of a non-municipal form of property were set without the
approval of the State Inspection for Control over Prices, which
constitutes a gross violation of the regulations of the law “On housing
and communal services.”
Tariffs for heating and cold water supply services for legal
entities and the population do not correspond to the economically
grounded level, and the rent for the population is too high because of
the incorrect distribution of expenditures for services for maintaining
houses and territories near houses, which also contradicts the
regulations of the law.
