Deputy Prime Minister Borys Kolesnykov on March 14 said there is not enough time to build a electric train shuttle from Boryspil Airport to Kyiv before the 2012 European soccer championship.
Kolesnykov, who is in charge of beefing up infrastructure to host the tournament, said on March 14 that it would take two years to complete the project.
“We only have 16 months left.” he said. “It’s a fact that this project won’t be built before Euro-2012.” Kolesnykov added that construction would continue nonetheless.
“The Air Express project will be completed on time and, if everything works out, everyone will be pleasantly surprised,” he said.
