You're reading: Kyiv allocates Hr 147 million for repair of clinics, purchase of medical equipment in 2016

Kyiv City Council has foreseen Hr 146.96 million in the city budget for 2016 for the overhauls of hospitals and procurement of medical equipment, as well as Hr 329.175 million for the implementation of the target program "Health of Kyiv Residents."

According to the press service of Kyiv City Council, the decision was made at a plenary session on Dec. 22.

According to the report, the total amount of Hr 5.038 billion to be allocated for the health sector financing, given subventions from the national budget, will be distributed in the following way: more than Hr 1.891 billion will be used for general and specialized medical aid to the population, Hr 188.402 million for drug-obstetric aid to pregnant women, new mothers and newborns, Hr 70.786 million for the sanatorium treatment of children with tuberculosis and children and adolescents with somatic diseases, Hr 41.471 million for the medical and social protection of orphans and children deprived of parental care, UAH 700.147 million for specialized outpatient aid to the public, Hr 739.447 million for primary health aid to the population, Hr 231.442 million for emergency aid, and Hr 543.322 million for other health care measures.

In addition, the own revenues of health facilities, estimated at Hr 155.662 million, will be spent on maintenance of their core business.
