Kyiv, Dnipro and Odesa have qualified to participate in the tender for hosting the Eurovision 2017 song contest, the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine has reported.

“So, three cities: Ukraine’s capital Kyiv, Dnipro and southern capital Odesa,” Deputy Director General of National Television and Radio Company of Ukraine Victoria Romanova said at a briefing on Friday after a meeting of the Ukrainian Organizing Committee for the preparation and holding of Eurovision 2017.

Culture Minister Yevhen Nyschuk noted that originally they planned to shortlist only two cities.

He added that the city that will host the contest will be finally determined on Wednesday, July 27, between 12:00 to 13:00.

Nyschuk also said that on July 25 the delegation of the founder of Eurovision – the European Broadcasting Union will hold inspection in Kyiv, and on July 26 they will visit Dnipro and Odesa.

As reported, Kyiv, Dnipro, Lviv, Odesa, Kharkiv and Kherson filed their bids to host Eurovision 2017.
