Kyiv (Interfax-Ukraine) – The government group investigating the economic grounds for the rise in fares for the municipal transport in Kyiv has ordered the Kyiv city state administration to put fares in line with the recommendations of the group within 10 days, the press service of Ukrainian First Deputy Prime Minister Oleksandr Turchynov stated on Friday
The working group has reported him on fulfillment of their work, he said.
According to the working group, a fare for the Kyiv subway should be 91 kopecks with 10% profitability. Those conclusions were presented to the Kyiv city state administration, which was ordered to adjust tariffs within 10 days.
Turchynov also ordered ministries to impose strict controls on the tariff policy conducted by the local authorities.
