Kyiv Mayor Leonid Chernovetsky and the Lord Mayor of the City of London Ian Luder have discussed the two cities' experience in implementing investment projects and ensuring a favorable business climate.
Chernovetsky told Luder at the meeting that Kyiv was open to investment in city infrastructure, the press service of Kyiv City State Administration reported on Friday.
“Investment is especially important in the context of Kyiv’s preparations for the Euro 2012 European Football Championship. We are ready to make concrete proposals, and we are confident that it is in Kyiv where investment will help receive a higher level of income than in other cities,” he said.
Chernovetsky said that he was overseeing the projects that are important for the city, particularly the city’s preparations for Euro 2012. He also pointed to the successful work of local enterprises.
Luder, in turn, proposed that Ukraine pay attention to the mechanism of a “single electronic window” that helps entrepreneurs quickly and conveniently request the necessary documents through the Internet.
