The Kurenivska-Chervonoarmiiska line carried 192.8 million passengers, while Syretsko-Pecherska 159.2 million passengers in 2008.
The Lybidska underground station, the most congested on the Kurenivska-Chervonoarmiiska line, handled 45 million passengers last year while Lukianivska 35.9 million passengers on the Syretsko-Pecherska line.
As Ukrainian News reported, Kyivskyi Metropoliten increased its carriage by 4.9% or 30 million passengers to 642 million passengers a year in 2007 as compared with 2006.
Kyivskyi Metropoliten planned a 2.8% rise in carriage to 660 million passengers in 2008 against the year 2007.
According to the enterprise, 515 million passengers out of 660 million pay for their trip, the rest 145 million are privileged passengers.
Kyivskyi Metropoliten ended 2007 with a loss of UAH 92.8 million.
Kyivskyi Metropoliten was opened in 1960, it has three lines of 65 kilometers, and 46 stations.
