Ukraine’s President Viktor Yanukovych told Lithuanian President Dalia Grybauskaitė in a telephone conversation that Kyiv cannot sign the agreement with the European Union (EU) due to Russian economic pressure and blackmail, Grybauskaitė’s adviser told BNS on Friday.
During the telephone conversation, the Lithuanian President was told about the Russian threats to restrict the imports of goods from Eastern Ukraine, which, according to Kyiv calculations, could lead to billions in losses, said Grybauskaitė’s senior foreign policy adviser Jovita Neliupšienė.
