The leader of the People's Self-Defense Civil Movement, Interior Minister Yuriy Lutsenko, has confirmed his intention to support Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko during the upcoming presidential election.
“I don’t seen any candidate who would be my ideal at the presidential post, however, as politician, I will support those who will stop [Regions Party leader Viktor] Yanukovych. The only person who can do that is Yulia Volodymyrivna Tymoshenko,” the organization’s press service quoted him as saying on Thursday.
Lutsenko said that the “ability to listen to others and take into account any criticism” was an important feature for the future president.
He said that Tymoshenko had constantly demonstrated this feature.
“It’s not a secret that she draws conclusions every day from the mistakes made by government staff,” he said.
