Kyiv, January 16 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The law on procedure of the Verkhovna Rada's work will be announced on January 26, even if Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko doesn't sign it, Verkhovna Rada Speaker Volodymyr Lytvyn said on the Verkhovna Rada's session on Friday.
“On January 26, a law on the procedure of the Verkhovna Rada’s work is to be signed and announced on January 26,” he said.
“I addressed the Ukrainian president with a proposal urgently sign it, or on January 26 it is to be announced with the signature of the Verkhovna Rada’s speaker,” Lytvyn said.
“In any case, this decision will be taken,” he added.
As reported, on September 18, 2008, Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko returned for a second debate the law on the organization and procedure of the work of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
