Unlawful armed forces are getting entrenched in various parts of Luhansk region, a Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council spokesman said on July 7.

In the city of Stakhanov, about 100 fighters “seized and started fortifying the building of the mining faculty of the Ukrainian Engineering Pedagogical Academy,” Andriy Lysenko told a briefing. He said a surface-to-air missile system had been installed on the roof.

Militants units also deployed Grad multiple rocket launchers in a forest outside the village of Ternove in Krasnodon district and in the village of Fabrychne in Lutuhyne district, Lysenko said.

He said there was evidence that unlawful armed forces were being deployed in children’s recreation camps and vacation centers near the village of Velyky Sukhodil in Krasnodon district near the Russian border.
