Moscow - The Russian Foreign Ministry has called on the de facto Ukrainian authorities not to confine themselves to mere statements on fighting radicals but take some practical steps to this end.
“We are calling on the Ukrainian authorities not to confine
themselves to phony statements on fighting radical forces in Ukraine but
to take resolute measures to disarm the gunmen,” the ministry said in a
statement available on its website.
“There have been a lot of comments in Kyiv in the past several days
regarding the Right Sector fighters vacating their headquarters in the
center of Kyiv,” it said.
“Surely, any signs indicating a crackdown on the radical extremist forces in Ukraine can only be welcomed,” it said.
However, the ministry pointed out that the Right Sector activists
have moved to their suburb base where they are continuing to train for
extremist activities.
