The National Bank of Ukraine has predicted the country's monetary base will grow 9-13% in 2010.

This forecast is contained in the main principles of the National
Bank’s monetary and credit policy for 2010, the NBU council told
Interfax.

The monetary base is to grow 6% in 2009.

The monetary base contracted 3.1% in August and 1.8% in the first
eight months of the year to UAH 183.4 billion, while the money supply
fell 0.3% and 8.8%, respectively, to UAH 470.5 billion.
