You're reading: National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine unaware of any agreements with DPR on demarcation line

The National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine has not yet received any documents on an agreement on the demarcation line in Ukraine's east, spokesman for the Information and Analytical Center of the NSDC Andriy Lysenko has said.

“We have not yet received from members of the international monitoring group, which includes representatives from Russia, Ukraine and OSCE, documents on any demarcation line. Moreover, a decision to withdraw troops from any residential area and from the occupied positions is taken by the ATO leadership,” Lysenko said in comments to Interfax-Ukraine on Friday.

Earlier, some media quoted head of the self-proclaimed People’s Republic of Donetsk Oleksandr Zaharchenko who said that the DPR and the government of Ukraine signed an agreement on the demarcation line according to which the Ukrainian troops leave some residential areas in Donetsk region, including Pisky on the outskirts of Donetsk.
