You're reading: National TV Council reports of launching ‘Ukraine Today’ satellite channel to cover Ukrainian events abroad

The National Television and Radio Broadcasting Council of Ukraine has reported that a satellite channel "Ukraine Today" to cover Ukrainian events abroad will be launched shortly.

“Tomorrow (on July 18), a channel will present press release saying that they are launching a satellite TV channel for foreign viewers under a working and very symbolic name ‘Ukraine Today’ that will inform our countrymen of events in Ukraine,” Chairman of the National Television and Radio Broadcasting Council of Ukraine Yuriy Artemenko said at a press conference in Kyiv on July 17.

In addition, he specified what kind of a channel would be launched.

Artemenko also said that one of Ukraine’s priorities is to launch a similar state channel.
