You're reading: NATO experts visit Ukraine

Experts of the NATO International Secretariat have arrived in Ukraine for a three-day visit to discuss a final draft document addressing Ukraine's role in the alliance's force planning and assessment in 2009, the press service of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry said.

An action plan to implement a yearly national program, the situation
and prospects of Ukraine’s Armed Forces and the possibility of
including Ukrainian army units in NATO’s reaction force were discussed
at a session, which took place in the Kyiv-based Officers’ Central
Palace on Tuesday.

The NATO delegation will meet with Ukraine’s Acting Defense Minister Valeriy Ivaschenko on September 23.

The results of the NATO experts’ visit are expected to be announced on September 24.
