Cabinet of Ministers on Dec. 27 appointed Dmytro Parfenenko an acting chairman of the State Property Fund.

Under the resolution, Parfenenko will perform the duties of the State Property Fund chairman until a new chairman is chosen in accordance with the procedures established by the existing legislation. As Ukrainian News reported, the Verkhovna Rada ousted Valentyna Semeniuk-Samsonenko from chairing the State Property Fund. In January, the Cabinet of Ministers suggested that the Verkhovna Rada should appoint Andrii Portnov as an SPF chairman. In early June, his candidacy was replaced by Andrii Kozhemiakin, a Yulia Tymoshenko Bloc member. Valentyna Semeniuk-Samsonenko considers her dismissal illegal. She thinks the Parliament violated both the Constitution and the laws On Labour, On State Service and On the Cabinet of Ministers. |
