You're reading: Parliament permits Cabinet to increase state companies’ contributions to budget

The Verkhovna Rada has provided the government with the right to set the norm exceeding 30% for paying part of net profit to the budget by state enterprises.

Some 231 MPs voted for the adoption of draft law No. 3627 at second reading, while the quorum is 226 votes.

Head of the profile parliamentary committee Andriy Ivanchuk previously specified that the government expects for additional revenues from this law in the amount of Hr 5.2 billion per year.

Currently, state unitary enterprises, which are the subjects of natural monopolies and those whose net profit exceeds Hr 50 million, pay 30 percent of net profit to the budget, all other state unitary enterprises pay 15 percent.
