Peripetias around the privatization of OJSC Odesa Port-Side Chemical Plant have whittled down Ukraine's investment attractiveness, ex-head of the Ukrainian presidential secretariat Viktor Baloha considers.
“Due to the fact that the privatization of the plant as any other plum of the state property had passed from the category of economy to the category of politics long ago, Ukraine and the whole world became the witnesses of uninviting peripetias around Odesa Port-Side Plant. Everybody saw that the state chief executives are in personal confrontation they do not hide. Everybody got added evidence that courts in Ukraine are used for score-settling and getting illegal preferences rather than for justice,” Baloha said.
