Delegates to a congress of the Petro Poroshenko Bloc 'Solidarity' party on Friday, March 25, upheld a resolution outlining ways to overcome a governance crisis, which, in particular, rules that the government led by Arseniy Yatsenyuk must resign, the party said in a statement on its official Facebook account on March 25.

“The 12th extraordinary congress of the Petro Poroshenko Bloc ‘Solidarity’ insists on the Ukrainian Cabinet of ministers’ resignation. The main criterion in forming a new government should be not a party affiliation but professionalism and orientation toward a result,” says the resolution, whose text is also available on Facebook.

At the same time, the congress delegates gave credit to the sitting Cabinet “for unprecedented positive things that have helped keep the situation in the country under control amid foreign aggression.”
