The Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine continues the work on collecting the evidence for extending Interpol's Red Notice for the ex-member of the Party of Regions and associate of former disgraced President Viktor Yanukovych, Yuriy Ivaniushchenko, and says that a ruling by the Appeals Court of Kyiv hasn't resulted in Ivaniushchenko's removal from the international wanted list, Deputy Prosecutor General Yevhen Yenin has said.

“At this moment, Interpol’s Red Notice is in place, as this (the termination of such notice by Interpol) does not take place automatically following a court ruling. Surely, the defense team of this gentleman will use this ruling, but it does not mean that this will put the lid on the case,” Yenin said on Channel 5 on Sept. 8 evening.

MP Serhiy Leshchenko of the Petro Poroshenko Bloc said earlier Ivaniushchenko was taken off the international wanted list because of a ruling by the Kyiv Court of Appeals.
