The Ukrainian city of Lviv will not host the UEFA EURO 2012, reveals a secret report from UEFA.There is absolutely no chance that Lviv will manage to build a football stadium by July 2011, as it was planned. According to the UEFA report, the city in western Ukraine not only has not started the construction of the stadium yet, but does not have a design or financial scheme ready either.
UEFA accuses Lviv of wasting time as, for 18 months, city authorities have done almost nothing to prepare the city for hosting the Euro 2012.
In UEFA’s opinion, the construction of a stadium in Lviv is a ‘high risk’ project. Therefore, it is most probable that Lviv will be withdrawn from the group of host cities for the Euro 2012.
