Ukraine is ready to fight against terrorism together with other countries, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said.

“I would like to assure that Ukraine is ready to make every effort in the fight against terrorism shoulder to shoulder with our French brothers and partners,” he said near the building of the French embassy, where he arrived to offer condolences on the terror attack in Nice.

Poroshenko added that Ukraine knows what terrorism is following Russia’s aggression in the country’s east: “Ukrainians bury their heroes and are ready to do everything to stop the terror attacks in Ukraine and in the entire world.”

The Ukrainian president said he considers important the resolute reaction of France in response to the terror attack. “I am sure that our joint efforts will stop the terror attacks, just exactly as it happened in Paris, exactly as it happened in Brussels and other cities, our stance is clear: we cannot be intimidated, we are not afraid,” he said.
