Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko sees good prospects for cooperation with Azerbaijan in the fuel and energy sector.

“We have had a separate discussion on fuel and energy cooperation prospects. It is planned to use the resource potential of Azerbaijan and the transit potential of Ukraine,” Poroshenko said in the joint statement with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in Baku.

He said they had considered concrete projects of Azerbaijani investments in the Ukrainian fuel and energy market and accessible transportation of Azerbaijani energy resources to European markets.

“We are sure that our discussion on perspectives of the New Silk Road project is highly promising too,” the Ukrainian president said.
