The hidden deficit of the draft state budget of Ukraine for 2010 is UAH 34 billion, First Deputy Head of the Presidential Secretariat Oleksandr Shlapak said at a briefing on Wednesday.
As reported, the government submitted to parliament a draft state budget for 2010 that foresees an increase in revenues of 19% to UAH 284.629 billion, and expenditures – by 21.1% to UAH 324.272 billion.
The government is to increase the state budget deficit in 2010 by 49.9% or by UAH 15.57 billion compared to the current year – to UAH 46.748 billion.
The draft state budget was drawn up on the basis of GDP growth of 3.7% (nominal GDP is UAH 1.1786 trillion). The exchange rate is to be UAH 7.50 per $1. Such indicators exceed the calculations of the International Monetary Fund, which forecasts GDP growth in 2010 of 2.7% with inflation of 9%.
According to the Economy Ministry, the state budget deficit for 2010 was estimated at 3.7% of GDP, while the state budget deficit for 2009 was estimated at 2.97% of GDP.
