The Ukrainian Prosecutor General's Office has said that the pre-trial investigation into the poisoning of then presidential candidate Viktor Yushchenko is being conducted thoroughly and objectively.
“The pre-trial investigation on [this criminal case] is being conducted in line with the requirements of Article 22 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine – thoroughly, in full and objectively,” the office said in a statement posted on its official Web site on Wednesday.
