Ukraine's Federation of Trade Unions is planning on October 7 and 17 to conduct mass protest actions under the slogan of the fight with public impoverishment and for decent work, Federation of Trade Unions Board Chairman Vasyl Khmara has reported.
“We timed our protests to the two significant dates: October 7 is
the World Day for Decent Work and October 17 is the World Day to
Overcome Extreme Poverty,” Khmara said.
“We will organize protest actions in all Ukrainian regions from
October 7, and on October 17 we will come to the Independence Square to
say “no” to poverty and announce our demands to the authorities,” he
said.
