BISHKEK - Russia is ready to be an intermediary in the Ukraine settlement process and a guarantor of a possible deal if Kyiv demonstrates similar readiness, Russian President Vladimir Putin has said.
“What we can do is to create conditions for negotiations and participate in them as intermediaries and guarantors of agreements,” Putin told the press at the end of his visit to Bishkek.
“This is what we can, want and will do, if our partners in Kyiv wish so,” the Russian president said.
All the rest “can be done only by the people of Ukraine and their representatives,” the Russian president said.
