The Verkhovna Rada has overridden the president's veto on the law on amendments to the legislation on presidential elections in Ukraine.
A total of 325, out of 371 MPs present in the session hall, in
particular 168 MPs of the Party of Regions faction, 153 MPs of the Bloc
of Yulia Tymoshenko and four MPs of the Our Ukraine – People’s Self
Defense bloc, voted to override the president’s veto at the Verkhovna
Rada’s special meeting on Friday.
The parliament supported none of the president’s proposals to this law.
