The South-West Railway has started prophylaxis against A(H1N1) virus at railway stations and trains. Ukrainian News learned this from a statement by the press service of the South-West Railway.

In particular, the South-West Railway has allocated funds for purchase of medical masks, disinfectant and detergents.

Conductor of passenger trains and suburban trains and other employees whose work engages direct services to passengers already work in masks.

Moist mopping has been introduced in all premises of the Central Railway Station in Kyiv each two hours.

The South-West Railway has endorsed the order of treatment of passenger cars with disinfectant and detergents.

The South-West Railway also informs passengers in trains about the flu epidemic.

Medical staff of the South-West Railway informs passengers about the danger of viral diseases, means of personal protection and the required actions if citizens feel the symptoms of the disease.

The South-West Railway has created mobile medical teams to provide passengers with medical help at the Central Railway Station in Kyiv and the transit stations in Kyiv region.

The South-West Railway has created a special headquarter.

As Ukrainian News earlier reported, the Health Ministry on October 30 declared the A(H1N1) flu epidemic throughout Ukraine.

The Cabinet of Ministers has introduced quarantine in nine regions, banned organization of mass events, and closed schools for three weeks because of the epidemic influenza.
