Representatives of the Party of Regions and the Bloc of Yulia Tymoshenko have refused to take part in a conciliatory council meeting on Wednesday.
Members of the Bloc of Lytvyn, the Communist Party and the Our
Ukraine-People’s Self-Defense factions gathered at Verkhovna Rada
Chairman Volodymyr Lytvyn’s office on Tuesday morning.
At the same time, representatives of the Party of Regions and the BYT failed to appear at the meeting.
The Rada chairman had a telephone conversation with First Deputy
Speaker Oleksandr Lavrynovych of the Party of Regions. Lavrynovych told
Lytvyn that the Bloc of Yulia Tymoshenko and the Party of Regions were
holding talks at that moment.
