The UN Security Council comprises five permanent veto-wielding members - Russia, the United States, China, France and Britain. The other 10 members are elected on the regional basis by the General Assembly for two-year terms. "Today I am honored to confirm Ukraine's determination to become a Security Council member in 2016-2017," he said.
