Moscow, Dec. 16 (Interfax) - The meeting between Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Grigory Karasin and Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council Secretary Raisa Bohatyriova in Kyiv addressed issues relating to Russian-Ukrainian political dialogue.
The meeting participants discussed “the importance of Russia’s and Ukraine’s approaches to various issues, which is especially important in the current global financial and economic crisis,” the Russian Foreign Ministry’s press and information department said in a release issued on Tuesday.
Karasin has also met with Ukrainian Parliament Speaker Volodymyr Lytvyn.
“The meeting addressed important issues relating to Russian-Ukrainian cooperation. Special emphasis was placed on the need for a more intensive dialogue between the Russian Federation and Ukraine, which is a significant factor in the development of partnership between the two countries, a factor aimed at solving complex bilateral cooperation issues,” the Russian Foreign Ministry said in its release.
