Moscow, September 10 (Interfax) - Russia's navy denied media reports that the missile cruiser Moskva of the Russian Black Sea Fleet needs repairs after being damaged and said the ship "retains its combat potential."
“This information is completely untrue,” the navy told Interfax in comments on the reports, which said the Moskva would be sent from its base, the Ukrainian port of Sevastopol, to a shipyard in Mykolaiv, Ukraine, for repairs.
“The personnel will themselves remove the defects in the auxiliary machinery compartment within a few days. They will do it on the spot, at the berth,” the navy said on Thursday.
