Moscow, November 28 (Interfax) - NATO will not provide its Membership Action Plan (MAP) to Ukraine and Georgia at the upcoming meeting of NATO foreign ministers this December, Russia's envoy to NATO Dmitry Rogozin
“My forecast is as following: no MAP will be given to Ukraine and Georgia. They will invent a trick, so that sheep are safe and wolves are fat,” Rogozin told the Vesti-24 TV channel on Friday.
A declaration on advanced partnership or the confirmation of the earlier made decision that one day Ukraine and Georgia will become NATO members could be such a compromise,” he said.
“They will prescribe anti-depressants,” Rogozin said.
Russia is ready to resume interaction with NATO, he said.
“Confrontation is not our choice. If NATO is ready to restore decent relations, then we are likely to have a constructive look at this,” the envoy said.
