Savchenko’s defense team hopes for her transfer to Ukraine within half a year

Lawyer of Nadia Savchenko Nikolai Polozov has said he hopes that his client will be returned to Ukraine after a verdict is passed.

“The verdict in the case of Nadia Savchenko will be held in the end of 2015 or at the very beginning of the next year. We’re sure it will be guilty,” Polozov told journalists on Oct. 1.

He said that after the necessary legal procedures Savchenko could be returned to Ukraine.

“I’m sure that after that Savchenko will be handed over to Ukrainian side within a half a year or even earlier,” Polozov said.
