At least six people were killed in a car crash on the Zhytomyr-Mohyliv-Podilsky road between the villages of Ozerne and Priazhiv near Zhytomyr at about 09:00 on Wednesday. At least one of the passengers has been hospitalized.
"According to initial reports, six people were killed in a collision between five cars, and one person was hospitalized," reads a statement posted on the www.zhitomir.info website.
The cause of the road accident is being investigated.
