The key topic of the sixth Yalta European Strategy (YES) summit, the largest nongovernmental forum for Ukraine's strategic relations with the world, which is to be held from September 24 to September 27 in Crimea, is to be the post-crisis development of Ukraine and the world, the YES press service has reported.
The key topics of the discussion on September 25 and September 26 in the Livadia Palace are to be the new global downturn, the future of the Ukrainian economy, Ukraine and the European Union, issues of energy security, the structure of Ukrainian-Russian relations, and the impact of China on the development of the global economy.
In addition, as part of the summit, some candidates for the post of the Ukrainian president are to visit the forum – Ukrainian Premier Yulia Tymoshenko, Viktor Yanukovych, the leader of the Regions Party, and Arseniy Yatseniuk, the head of the NGO Front of Changes, who will present their visions of the country’s future.
Over 200 political leaders, heads of business structures and public figures are expected to attend the summit.
