You're reading: Sixty children rushed to hospital with food poisoning in Crimea’s Dzhankoy

60 children born in 2004 - 2007 were taken to the central district hospital of Dzhankoy (Crimea) from local kindergartens #5 and #9 with preliminary diagnosis "food toxicoinfection" on Thursday, the liaison department of the Cabinet of Ministers' secretariat reported

As of 9 p.m., the children were in condition of average gravity.

All the assistance required is provided immediately, and the patients are under permanent medical control.

On Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko’s order, a government commission with Health Minister Vasyl Kniazevych at the head was set up to guarantee emergency medical care, and clear up the causes behind the mass intoxication.

The commission is working on the spot.

As Ukrainian News reported, at the beginning of July, 69 children were rushed to hospital from the Perlyna Karpat health center in Mukacheve district, Zakarpattia region, because of mass poisoning.
